Research and Policy Consultation Workshop in Yangon, Myanmar

The ESP-Mekong Empowerment and Security project, funded by the Australian Aid, held a policy forum in cooperation with the Socio – Economic and Gender Resource Institute (SEGRI) in Yangon, Myanmar in February 22, 2017. The forum was attended by representatives from some international organizations, government, community, and NGO. The forum was held to present the project findings including the qualitative results from the four countries covered by the project, as well as the preliminary quantitative results covering Myanmar. The presentations of the research results were followed by group discussions and exchange on the relevance and applicability of the results in the context of Myanmar, as well as on providing recommendations that would draw from both the findings and the discussion that followed with policy makers.
